Kajo Park
Kajo Park, located in the heart of Yamagata City, is a vast historical park developed on the former site of Yamagata Castle. The restored, dignified Higashi-Ote-mon Gate, impressive stone walls, and surrounding moats convey the history of the 570,000-koku castle town established by Lord Mogami Yoshiaki.
