A village formed within a “Uvala” (a giant mortar-shaped depression), a geologically very rare landscape even globally, located in part of the Akiyoshidai Karst Plateau. In a vast basin created by the erosion of limestone, people have lived since ancient times, and peaceful rural scenery spreads out.
