Chion-in Temple
Chion-in, the head temple of Jodo Buddhism, is a grand-scale temple where everything is magnificent, including the "Sanmon" gate, one of Japan's largest wooden gates, and the overwhelming "Miedo" (Main Hall). The Sanmon especially overwhelms visitors with its majestic appearance.
